So much for consistency...

It's overrated anyhow.

Leisure. There is nothing more leisurely, nothing more awe-inspiring and nothing more rewarding than watching the stars.

I saw this on a friend's Facebook and thought it should be shared.

Why I Hate Reading Maps

I have unrolled a map
onto my kitchen table
and put one finger
where you are and
another where I am.

The space between
is only inches. That close,
I could feel you breathing.
I could reach out and
run my fingers through
every strand of your hair,
touch your lips and
barely need to move.

In the corner of the map
there is a guide for judging scale:
every inch a hundred miles
full of roads and rivers and trees,
the guide a sharp reminder
that you are where you are
and I am where I am,
inches apart.

LIFE

Mitch: "You basically know everything about my life."
Mark: "Yeah, you're pretty much an open book. Actually, it's more of an audio book."

I'd be more annoyed were it not true.

10 Very Specific Things I Like About Life
-The smells of: freshly cut grass and lemon zest and tomato plants and rain on hot asphalt (see: petrichor).
-Carefully removing splinters with a sewing needle.
-Getting back into a body-warmed bed.
-The electrical tingle you feel after touching a TV screen that's been on for a while.
-Burt's Bees Mango Butter Lip Balm.
-Making wine glasses "sing" when you wash them.
-The sound snow makes.
-Cleaning your ears with Q-tips (psh, do not use to clean inner ear my foot...)
-Seeing how many brick/stepping-stones/floorboards one big stride is.
-That part of a haircut where they wash your hair.

Oh hell, who cares about all of that. Here, here's a clip from Life of Brian. It's got life in the title. It totally counts.

Ah Monty Python, who needs articulation or self-reflection when I have you and the ability to embed videos?
